![]() The difference in Lite compared to Standard and Suite is that in the latter two you have the External Instrument that makes it very possible to "freeze" an external synth but that only means it records in real time to the same MIDI track. ![]() If you need to freeze that audio track with effects that can be done easily as usual. would you freeze an external synth? Track count? You can keep the MIDI in one track and record the incoming audio to another. There is a help tutorial made by Ableton but I don't quite understand the instructions, maybe because some of the things the full version includes are missing in the Lite version. So I highlight the MIDI track, right click and then press 'Freeze', and a message pops up stating that 1-MIDI has no audio output to freeze. I need to a turn recorded MIDI sequence into an audio file, that is a Moog through Focusrite interface into the DAW. Seems like the Lite doesn't operate the same as the full version of Live.
